National Institute of Hospital Administration (NIHA)
National Institute of Hospital Administration (NIHA), established on September 18, 1991, is a scientific research institute directly under the Ministry of Health (MOF) of China. The Chairperson of NIHA is Liang Minghui (researcher), the honorary chairpersons are Prof. Chi Baolan and Yu Zonghe. There are altogether ten more consultants and experts employed from home and abroad.
NIHA is comprised of 17 departments in all. It has accomplished more than 40 major research projects through 12 years’ profound investigation and analysis. Many international academic exchange activities were held since its establishment. At the same time, NIHA also compiled Management Science of Hospital and lots of lecture notes and teaching materials, etc.; and ran the magazine of Chinese Nursing Management and Chinese Hospital Architecture & Equipment.
Government function transformation, separation of enterprise from administration, and science & technology innovation offer big development room to the institute. Since then, NIHA is capable enough to not only undertake all the tasks entrusted by MOH, but also work with hospitals, healthcare insurances to provide relevant information and technical support to hospital architecture, equipment and health materials.
