After signing the cooperation agreement with IIR Exhibitions, UKTI has become the international supporter for IIR Exhibitions. On Jan 31 2011, both sides have a video conference with UK based companies and experts within construction field in London. The success of this conference means the good beginning for the two parties, and makes more and more UK companies know about HBC event details and the current situation and development trends of Chinese hospital construction.

On Dec 3rd 2010, Chinese government issued “Opinion on further encouraging and guiding social capital to invest in healthcare institutions”. The opinion indicates that for the foreign companies, it will allow fully foreign-owned hospitals to be established on the mainland. Previously, foreign investment in a medical institution is limited to a maximum of 70 percent of total investment. At the moment, institutions can be run as joint or cooperative ventures.
Due to this exciting news, Hospital Build China will adapt the strategic policy and take actions in order to help both Chinese and foreign investment groups build up relationship, transfer the accurate information and demands from CEOs who have the hospital build and refurbishment requirements, and financing need. Meanwhile, as organizer, we will invite the professional investment institutions as visitors, as so to satisfy their indeed needs and illustrate the right and practical investing direction via Hospital Build platform.

During the conference, the British Embassy invites more than 50 UK based companies and experts within construction field to attend, which includes the PM in china-Britain business council, International SOS assistance UK, Doctor in Aston University, and other medical service providers; On the China side, the UK embassy Commercial Counselor, the MD in UKTI’s Healthcare & Life science hosts the conference. They analyze the Chinese related policies and regulations; meanwhile they also indicate what is the most efficient way to participate in china hospital construction industry.
