The year of 2011 is the beginning of China's Twelfth Five-year Plan. China has invested a lot in furthering the improvements in economy and the reform of Chinese medical and health service. Therefore, hospitals in China are all on the highway of development. Following with the public touring lecture of experts in Jilin, the “Hospital Build China Exhibition & Congress” inter-provincial lecture tour events, organized IIR Exhibitions UK and Chinese National Institute of Hospital Administration, held in Nanjing again. The “National Hospital Construction Conference 2011 & Construction, Architecture and Planning Management Seminar of Jiangsu Hospital Association, held on 10~11th Nov, to support the healthy development of hospital construction in China.
The event is organized by Hospital Association of Jiangsu Province and National Institute of Hospital Administration, undertook by Architecture and Planning Management Committee of Hospital Association Jiangsu, Chinese Hospital Architecture & Equipment Magazine, sponsored by Changchun Zhucheng Group Co. Ltd, Shandong provincial Architectural Design Institute, Jiangsu Huanya Co. Ltd and Trane air conditioning system (China) Company Limited, and has been reported by Health Daily, Hospital News, China Pharmaceutical News, China News of Traditional Chinese Medicine, chaej.com and Archicreation Magazine. 130 hospital administrators from Jiangsu province attended the meeting.
The opening ceremony chaired by the Secretary General of Hospital Association Ms Lu Xiaoling. Mr. Liu Diankui from Department of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Health, Mr. Tang Weixin, the chairman of Jiangsu Hospital Association, Mr. Li Yuedong, Vice Chairman and General-Secretary of Logistics Management Committee of Chinese Hospital Association, Mr. Qi Guohao, Vice President Jiangsu People’s Hospital attended the meeting. Tang Weixin, Li Yuedong and Qi Guohao gave speech at the opening ceremony respectively.
Tang Weixin said: Hospital construction planning encountered more problems than the technology level. Two things need to be clear first when working out the hospital plan: First, the scale of the hospital; Second, clear about the hospital lever. Therefore, it is the only to determine: how many rooms for the hospital, what construction and facilities need to be prepared. In addition, pursuing blindly an excessively scale of the hospital should be prohibited. “Just Right” need to be the main direction and object, as what is “Just Right” should be studied carefully.
Li Yuedong said: The planning and designing of a hospital crosses multiple disciplines. How to ensure the scientific design is the most concerned point for the hospital administrators, which is also the practical problem need to make efforts to solve. As the authorized publication of the Sanitary Project and the Medical Technique Equipment field, Chinese Hospital Architecture & Equipment Magazine, in charge of the Health Department, sponsored by the Institute of Hospital Management, focuses on the new trend and new problems through various channels and ways to provide practical, scientific information for the majority of hospital administrators. Meanwhile, the magazine also hosts different events and seminars to provide the targeted guidance and counseling services.
After the opening ceremony, Liu Diankui delivered a lecture to analysis the problems during hospital planning, construction directions and the focus of Twelfth Five-year Plan hospital construction area.
15 delegates, experts and technical specifics from relevant government departments, research institutes and enterprises, are invited for this forum. Topics covered the following aspects: ”Twelfth Five-year” hospital construction trend, hospital refurbishment design, green hospital, planning and construction of sterilization and supply center, planning and construction of technical department, construction of hospital logistics system, intelligent system design and so on. The conference got a good combination of theory and practice, including the policy interpretation from the government department and the grass-roots work experience. The most prominent point is the conference is a fully integrated meeting that combines the actual situation of Jiangsu province.
After the meeting, the organizers also organized the participants visited Shenzhen Marina Hospital.
