Operation to 'rescue HA'
Private doctors have offered to create a volunteer service to help local public hospitals to go through an acute manpower shortage, said the Allied Concern Group on the Standard of Medical Services in Hong Kong on Thursday.
The group said 48 specialists have already registered to join the pilot project named "Operation Rescue Hospital Authority". Under the scheme, doctors from the Association of Private Medical Specialists of Hong Kong will be offering a variety of working shifts to ease the burden of public hospitals.
The association said it is still working out details with the Hospital Authority.
